I live in the Bay Area (San Francisco, CA) and I follow Frank Somerville, a news reporter, on Facebook. He posts a lot of stories of his family, acts of kindness, and stories that break your heart a little.
The other month he posted about a veteran, who is at the hospital fighting cancer and feeling alone. It really tugged at my heart.
I decided to make a card to send to his hospital room and to make it fitting to match the hero that he is. It’s an interactive card with a wheel so when you spin the bottom portion the superhero will flying across the sky. No one should ever feel forgotten or alone, so I’m hoping this will make him smile.

Superhero card (in action) for a hero. 🇺🇸 (camera kinda dulls the colors 😔) • • • @clearlybesotted – Caped Cuties, Cityscape @dawnwplus9 – Little Bits • • 💭 Made this card for a veteran, Devihn Ross, after #FrankSomerville @ktvu2 posted about how he felt alone and forgotten. No one should ever feel that way especially when fighting cancer. #cancersucks #staystrong 💪🏼 #spreadkindness
