Twirl!

I’m back to share a cute spinning card. Once I saw the Life Goals set from Planner Street, I zoned in on the ballerina in the set and knew what I wanted to do with her immediately.

The trick with spinning cards is that I need the reverse image of the stamp, which can be easily done using a mirror image stamp. I personally used the My Favorite Things stamp, Mirror Image. It’s essentially a large stamp area where you can stamp the image onto it and then transfer that image to paper.

For this particular card, I have a card base and two pieces of paper (for the front and for the inside), all of which I die cut an opening in the middle.

I used a Xyron sticker maker to add adhesive to one of the images. This helps me adhere the image to the reverse image, sandwiching the clear thread that holds the ballerina.

Once the string is between the image, I’ll add it to the backside of the front of the card and tape down the string. The front piece will be taped down to the front of the card base. Then I’ll open up the card, and add the second card front to the inside. This allows me to hide the string.

You only need to wind her up before closing the card. Once you open it up, the ballerina does what she is meant to do…. Twirl!

Hope you enjoy the card!
