Hi there! It’s day 2 of the blog hop for the September release and I’m back to share another card. I’ve been on a simple and clean cardmaking marathon and this is just another one.
Today, I’m using the Mountains stamp alongside the Hot Chocolate stamp set. For the Mountains, I masked off the bottom of the stamp because I didn’t want that harsh line at the bottom for this particular card. I also used the snowman from the Hot Chocolate stamp set and added it to the left side of the card underneath the mountains. Sometimes, with wintery cards, it makes coloring really easy since snow is white!
I colored up the snowman with very light shadowy colors and added some pops of color for the snowman’s nose, scarf, and hat.
I actually ended up trimming the mountains because I accidentally smudged some ink above but this ended up working in my favor. I decided to take advantage of the Artic Snowfall paper pack and pulled out the blue patterned paper with white snowflakes. This worked perfectly for the sky.
This ended up being such a simple card to pull together. I added the sentiment Hot Chocolate Cold Nose by using Watermark ink on black cardstock and heat embossed using white embossing powder.
I really love easy this card was to put together. Sometimes having patterned paper really makes creating cards super easy.
Come back tomorrow for another card idea using the new release. It’s definitely my favorite of the bunch. I can’t wait to share. See you tomorrow!
Hop along and leave a comment so you could win!
