DIY Phone Case | Simon Says Stamp

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a SUPER easy DIY project. I love changing out my phone case but it totally gets expensive. Why not create my own? So simple!

Check out how I did it.

DIY Magnetic Bookmarks | The Sassy Club

Hello everyone! I’m doing something a bit different today. Instead of a card, I’m sharing how I created a few magnetic bookmarks. It’s really easy to put together and I had a lot of fun using The Sassy Club’s Darla Reads stamp set for it. It’s absolutely perfect for bookmarks.

These little bookmarks make for perfect stocking stuffers, little favors, or for your own personal use. Can you guess which book this is?

I have a video that accompanies this DIY to share how I created them.

Paper Smooches Cross-Stitching

Happy Heart day everyone! I’m not a big fan of the actual holiday, but I am a fan of the idea behind it. Showing someone you care, whether it’s romantically or not, is always a good thing.

I created this card below and when you cross-stitch, you pour a lot of love into it.

Head over to Drive By Craft’s blog to check out what I used to create this card, how I did the ombre effect on the hearts, and how this card came together.

and a Magical … Puzzle!

Hello everyone!

My sister’s birthday was yesterday so I can finally share this cute “card”, which really isn’t a card. She loves doing puzzles and so I always had it in my head to make a puzzle for her.

I used Neenah 80lb cardstock and stamped a ton of images from Sweet Stamp Shop’s Wizards, Grand Wizard, and Magical Friends sets since they all coordinate together to form the Harry Potter clan. For the letters, I used the Balloon Alpha set from The Sasssy Club.

I searched high and low for a puzzle set that wasn’t just a few pieces and did find one on Amazon. I couldn’t find any other puzzle die set with a good number of pieces.

In my head, I wanted some thickness to the puzzle instead of just paper pieces so I used Stick It adhesive on this card and stuck it on a piece of craft foam. This did make it a lot thicker to cut through my BigKick but I ran it a few times. and voila! a puzzle!

Just a fun way to switch it up using just a die!

Until next time!

Spectrum Noir markers

DIY – Magnetic Bookmarks

I had posted a picture of my Harry Potter bookmarks that I had made as stocking stuffers and a few people had asked how to make them. I’m happy to report, it’s pretty darn easy.

I used Canson XL watercolor paper, a 2 inch circle die, and some Love Cynthia stamps.

Using the circle die, I placed it on the folded strip of paper and ran it through my Sizzix Big Kick. This way it will come out with a folded circle.

I folded the paper in half and place the circle die on it leaving space at the top, so that when I ran it through my Sizzix Big Kick, it would have a folded circle.

I stamped using black Versafine ink and used Hero Arts clear embossing powder. I thought that heat embossing it made it looked a lot prettier.

Then the fun part, coloring! I used Spectrum Noir markers. They blend well on this Canson XL watercolor paper.

I found these magnet sheets at Daiso ($1.50 store). They have the white backing you see but it’s easily removeable. I remove it because it adds additional thickness that you don’t need. But I use it to cut 1 inch sIMG_3070 (1).jpgquares.

Then I used Scor-pal double-sided adhesive to the magnets and added it to the bookmarks.

Then you’re done and ready to use it in your planner or book!
