Big Bold Magnolias – Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us on the Inkon3 blog hop featuring the newest stamp set, Big Bold Magnolias. One of magnolias might look familiar since it’s featured in our Heels to You set, but it’s been so popular, we decided to dedicate an entire stamp set to it.

We are giving away a $25 Inkon3 gift card to one lucky hopper!  To enter leave a comment on each blog in the hop, plus follow us on Facebook and Instagram.  Winners will be announced a week from today, Thursday, September 5, 2019 over on the main Inkon3 blog.

Also, we are officially introducing and welcoming the New Ink On 3 Creative Team!!! I’m super excited to be part of this team and hope we all inspire to bring out your Inkon3 products to use!

Now onto the cards! For today’s blog hop, I decided to create two cards focusing on the biggest magnolia in the set.

My first card, I stamped out the magnolia along with the buds and leaves using Inkon3 Blackout ink. For these images, I used alcohol markers to color them in. I googled magnolias to see what colors they normally come in and most of the pictures I found were pink and white.

That seemed a bit boring, so I did color in with pink but added yellow to the tips to give it something extra. I think the yellow really helps it pop. For the sentiment, I used a sentiment die that also had a shadow and colored it in using the same pinks and yellow to tie it together.

The pattern on the background die gives the background a bit of interest. These stamps really made this card come together so easily.

For my second card, I wanted to do something a little bit more simple. I used a stencil with some glitter paste to add interest to the gray card panel. I went for a different technique on these images by stamping them using the Juicy ink and Artic White embossing powder.

I embossed them because I used watercolor pens to color them in and I love how the embossing powder keeps the colors within the section (makes coloring so easy!). I picked out a simple sentiment and added it below the florals to ground it.

That’s it for both my cards today! I hope you enjoyed them and pick up this set. I already have another idea for this set and think this set can be used in so many ways.

Remember to hop along and leave a comment along the way for a chance to win! Good luck!
