Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today to share a card I created using LDRS Creative’s new layering stamp set named, Sunny Meadow. This is a large stamp set so it contains a mix of images and sentiments. Also, on the back of the stamp set, it shows you exactly how the layering works so there’s not much thought needed.
For today’s card, I barely did any coloring and sometimes, that’s the best part when you need an easy card to put together. For the large floral image, I used three different inks for each flower that was close to each other in shades. The orangey floral used Flesh, Lipstick Jungle, and In Your Face Orange. The yellow floral used Dan-D-Lion, Flesh, and In Your Face Orange. The set also has leaves, which I used the colors: Key Lime Pie and Olive Branch.
To add a bit of interest, I stamped out the ladybug and bee using Raven Hybrid ink. There are layering stamps here so you didn’t need to color them in, but I just went ahead and did it using some alcohol markers.
Since these florals were pretty large, I decided to only use three of them. This did leave an empty space in the upper left since I planned to add the florals to the bottom right. I used some of the smaller images, stamped them using Watermark ink, and heat embossed them with Clear embossing powder to create a subtle background on the dark blue cardstock.
To finish off this card, I stamped the sentiment using the In Your Face Orange ink on white cardstock. I also decided to mat both the main card panel and the sentiment. I didn’t have a matching yellow to the Dan-D-Lion color, so I actually just used that ink pad swiping it on the edge of the cardstock.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card and come back tomorrow to see more of the new release items. This release is pretty awesome and I’m really enjoying it! Thanks for stopping by!
The Sunny Meadow stamps and dies are gorgeous! I am a very beginner at stamping and card making. The Sunny Meadow stamps and die set is my first purchase. Can you possibly do a tutorial on how to do the flowers?
